How to Get a Boyfriend if You Are Not a Beauty Queen

In spite of what society would have you believe, physically beautiful women are not necessarily the norm, but this rumor has plainer, more ordinary women, wondering how to get a boyfriend if you are not a beauty queen. You really should not give up just because you may not be statuesque, with long blonde hair, and sultry blue eyes. There are other things that are just as important when it comes to landing the boyfriend of your dreams.

First of all, believe it or not, guys DO enjoy a woman they can have a real conversation with. They also like a great personality. Forget that old joke about a blind date and the guy asking “What does she look like?” and getting the reply of “Well, she’s got a REALLY GOOD personality.” Honestly, that is just not as true as many think. Guys DO like a woman they can talk to and who will know what they are saying. They also like women who laugh, are caring, and who are good listeners.

Now for a little bit of news that you may NOT have realized: Many beautiful women are shallow. They can also be selfish as well as self-centered. A lot of them feel that, just because they are physically beautiful, they can get anything they want, including any men they want. Granted, this is not true of all of them but a good number of these women have given beauty a bad name.

No matter what you look like there will be features that are flattering about you. These features can be used to your advantage. For example, if you have a rather plain face, but amazing eyes, it is your eyes that you will want to emphasize. Then, when you are talking to a guy you like, use those eyes to their fullest extent. Make and maintain some serious eye contact with him. Let him get lost in those hypnotic eyes of yours.

Nice skin is another attribute that will be noticed. You don’t have to be a super model, but if you have nice skin, you can be perceived as gorgeous. Display a confident manner when talking to a guy. They love this and find confidence in women a real turn on. You are projecting to them that you like yourself and who you are. Therefore, if YOU like who you are, they just might feel the same way.

Make the most of what you have, no matter what that may be. That cannot be stressed often enough. In addition to doing that, always be clean, looking your best, and smelling nice. A memorable perfume will go a long way in getting and keeping a guy’s attention. When you leave, your essence will linger behind.

Be a great listener. Guys love to talk about themselves and if you are actively listening to them, and seem to genuinely CARE what they are talking about, they will never get enough of you. Ask questions and don’t be hesitant to take part in the conversation. Words can be excellent as stimulation.

Once you have become the best you can be, add confidence to that. Between looking good and appearing confident, you will be able to land a pretty nice boyfriend for yourself. He may even feel better by being with someone he knows is interested only in him, rather than someone who may be constantly looking around for someone better to move on to.  

You will see that just by being yourself you can get a boyfriend without looking like a beauty queen. There’s no need to compete in an arena that you are not comfortable. Stick with what you know and you will win every time.
