How to Kiss a Guy for the First Time

When you are trying to figure out how to kiss a guy for the first time, there may be nothing that you won’t try. First of all, you need to keep in mind that if this guy asked you out, he must have found you attractive and will now find you kissable as well. Granted, there can be some issues involved that will hold him back from trying for that kiss. These can be things like shyness, or maybe he ate something garlicky and forgot to bring along a breath mint. In these cases, he thinks he’s avoiding rejection or that he’s sparing you the unpleasantness of tasting his garlic breath. It truly has nothing to do with whether or not he thinks you’re kissable. Although, when these things happen, it may be you who ends up doing the kissing.

So, what if it IS you who has to steal that first kiss? You may want to know how to kiss a guy for the first time without seeming pushy. To begin with, don’t be afraid to let him know as plainly as you can that you are not averse to him kissing you. This doesn’t mean that you have to sit on his lap, or hang all over him.  Being subtle works much better than being too obvious, but you also want to let him know that you’re attracted to him and want him to kiss you. It’s important to make him understand that you’re not going to reject a kiss from him. Don’t be overbearing, though, because you want him to think kissing you is HIS idea.

If you find yourself in the position of needing to know how to kiss a guy for the first time, there are a couple of things you can do to encourage him without seeming too eager. One thing you can try is quite simple, and lets this guy know you would love to be kissed. Sit or stand so that he’s facing you. Then all you need to do is lean in just a little bit. This should be a signal that he has no trouble reading at all. When you meet him halfway, most likely you will get exactly what you’re after.

At times, the chance may not come as quickly as you would like. When that happens, you may find yourself needing to orchestrate things. You can try being a little playful. Take something away from him and hold the item behind your back, while laughing, and daring him to come get it. This tactic works faster than any other to get this guy’s arms around you as he tries to reclaim what you took from him. Suddenly, his face is inches from yours and you will have your chance to lean in for your kiss.

Either one of these strategies will help you when trying to figure out how to kiss a guy for the first time. However, be prepared to make the first move yourself if nothing else works. Don’t stop and think about it. Just do it, especially if he looks like he would really love to kiss you. It could always be the beginning of something quite beautiful.
