How to Keep a Man Interested in You after the Honeymoon Period

All relationships go through a honeymoon period at the beginning when you both can’t seem to get enough of each other. However, you may wonder how to keep a man interested in you after the honeymoon period has ended. The short answer to this is to not let the honeymoon period ever end.

Now you are most likely sitting there muttering to yourself that keeping the relationship in the honeymoon period is impossible. Before you start psyching yourself out, think again. The excitement and newness of a relationship NEVER has to end. All you have to do is figure out ways to prolong it and keep things moving in a romantic direction.

Don’t allow the word “routine” to enter your vocabulary when it comes to your relationship and keeping it fresh. Get dressed up and go out on regular dates with each other. Remember that excitement that you felt every time you knew he was coming to pick you up? You can re-capture that anytime you want.

If there are budget concerns, make your own dates at home. This is possible even when there are children in the picture. Let relatives babysit for you, or just wait until after they are in bed for the night. Plan out your evening ahead of time. You can even use a theme of sorts. If you are in the mood for Chinese food, for example, cook it yourself and serve it wearing a sexy kimono. Place some pillows on the floor around the coffee table and serve the food there. This will do a lot to set the mood. You can use this with whatever type of meal you decide to prepare.

Following a romantic dinner, you can watch a pre-selected DVD curled up on the couch together with the lights out. There is nothing better to encourage romance than closeness in the dark. But you now have dinner and a movie for a fraction of what you would have paid for if you had gone out.

What follows the movie should not have to be scripted as it should take place all of its own accord. But that does not mean you have to ignore creating a feeling of romance in the bedroom. There is nothing more romantic than candlelight and plenty of it and it sets the mood.

Sometimes environmental concerns can go a long way in how to keep a man interested in you. Taking showers together help to conserve water, especially in hot, dry weather when it has not rained in a while. This not only saves on water but increases its own special heat. Never underestimate the power of being naked together under warm running water. You may be amazed at the “interest” in each other that it can generate.

These are simple and inexpensive suggestions that you can put to work any time you want to. They can also be used any time your relationship needs a little bit of revving up. You will be amazed at the success you will have in how to keep a man interested.
