How to keep a Man from Getting Bored with You

When a relationship has become long term and is far from the honeymoon phase, you may be wondering how to keep a man from getting bored with you. It’s not something that is actually that difficult to do because all you have to do is continue doing whatever you did when you landed him in the first place. If that is a bit puzzling to you, keep reading.

First of all, to keep that new and exciting feeling from the beginning to continue flowing in your relationship, don’t change anything. Continue doing things that kept the heat going. If you treat each other like you are still a mysterious entity that you are discovering more about layer by layer, the interest will never go away.

Granted, you will need to change up some things periodically because even the cutest or sexiest things can become boring if done too much. Therefore, as you find out more and more about your boyfriend, try out different things on him. For instance, if he happens to enjoy Mexican food, cook a full course Mexican meal for him, or order it and serve it. Decorate your dining room or living room like a cantina. You will need to dress like a senorita. Maybe wear an off the shoulder peasant blouse and colorful skirt, and stay barefooted. Paint your toenails a pretty color, though.

For an inexpensive weekend “away,” set up your home as a romantic inn and invite him to stay with you. Turn off the phones and computers. Plan all the food and activities that you will enjoy through the weekend. Be prepared for sexy bubble baths and have some good DVDs on hand to watch, not to mention plenty of candles to sit around.

Surprise him with a camping trip if that is something he likes to do. Again, plan it all out so that all he needs to do is show up so you can drive there. Or even book a cabin in the woods. These things are great ways to show your guy how much you care as well as keep him on his toes if he is an outdoors kind of guy.

The thing about keeping boredom out of your relationship is to keep it interesting. Don’t let yourself get sucked into a routine. That can be the death of many relationships. Never take your guy for granted and never allow yourself to be taken for granted either. If you live together, make at least one night a week “Date Night.” That is the night that is set aside for ONLY the two of you. Don’t let anything interfere with it. That is your time as a couple when you can just relax and be together. This goes a long way in keeping the romance in your relationship alive and well.

The thing to understand is that when both of you are making an equal effort to keep things interesting and exciting, there is no way for your relationship to fail.
