How to Get your Ex-Boyfriend to Stop Stalking You

Something that many women have to worry about is how to get your ex-boyfriend to stop stalking you. This happens too many times for it not to be taken as a serious concern. There are situations where this can become an even deadly problem if there are not actions taken.

One thing you will need to do is make it clear that you are done. It cannot be left in doubt about where you stand. Don’t leave any false hope or anything even resembling it. You don’t want it to be said later that you were giving out mixed signals. So tell him, and everyone else involved in your life, that you and the ex-boyfriend are no longer a couple.

If you are getting unwanted phone calls, you can block his number, or change YOUR number. Whatever works the best in helping you maintain your privacy is what you want to do. If he has a key to your home, change the locks. The same goes for the code on your alarm system, if you have one. Any information that he has that will help him get to you needs to be deleted and changed into something that he cannot figure out.

You are going to need to alert your boss if you have a job outside your home that your ex-boyfriend may be interested in just turning up to harass you at work. Be careful how you present this as you don’t want to lose your job because of him behaving like a psycho. However, it is better to warn your place of business rather than just have him turning up and causing trouble.

Stop going places alone for awhile. As long as you feel or know that you are being followed, travel in the company of people who can protect you. If you have a true stalker issue with this guy you have reason to need protection until he has moved on or is in jail.

Don’t blame yourself. Most of the time there is no reason to know at the beginning of a relationship that you have hooked up with a budding psycho. These things usually don’t start turning up until well into the relationship and, then there are signs. If you are really uneasy, you may want to have someone with you when you break it off.

Take some self-defense classes. You need to know how to protect yourself and a weapon is usually not a great idea unless you are totally proficient with it, as it can be turned on you. Besides, if your situation is that serious, you definitely want to bring the police in on it.

Try not to let the psycho ex-boyfriend drive you away from anything or any place that you love. For some women, it has become necessary to move across the country or even change their whole identities to keep themselves safe from an ex. Many times it really doesn’t matter what you do unless he makes a really stupid move that he can be arrested for, and that’s why you may need to hide until he is over you.
