How to get a guy to notice you

When you’re comfortable in your own skin and have built up the self confidence to introduce yourself to people, insecurity of their perception of you be it either positive or negative no longer will have a bearing on your own self-esteem, only then will you be able to harness the ability to get men to notice and appreciate you from the very start.

Body Language

In a given situation, if you happen to be standing at an angle that’s showing your back to people, particularly a guy you may want to get the attention of you are effectively closing yourself quite literally away from being approached. Having your arms folded, looking preoccupied and/or pissed off and unfriendly, sends signals that you are unapproachable and possibly hostile too. Open up and be relaxed in your posture. Smile and have a friendly aura about you by making eye contact and smiling, say hi and extend a very feminine, informal hand-shake.

Eye contact

Eyes are the windows to the soul. Eye contact is the most important part when it comes to the initial phases of seduction with a stranger. When you make eye contact with a guy you like; HOLD AND MAINTAIN EYE CONTACT and after a delayed moment or two SMILE at him. If you were to look a guy in the eye and then look away quickly, breaking the eye contact he is likely to get the impression you aren’t interest or not attracted to him. Smiling with your eyes will make you look naturally approachable, happy and also more attractive. When you smile, smile big and bright, so your eyes twinkle and you radiate positive, warming energy. Be confident with your smile as a fake smile comes across instinctively as insincere and untrustworthy.

Just say hi

Keep it simple. Greeting a guy with; “Hey how you doing?” Isn’t going to offend or embarrass anybody, and only a jerk would respond negatively to something as friendly as saying “Hi”. It’s short, it’s simple and can be said with a smile and is a great opener for any situation.

Have a sense of humour

Guys love a girl who doesn’t take herself too seriously. Don’t be afraid to share funny stories, tell jokes, act goofy, or poke fun at something or even yourself! Guys today are put off by stuck up women who act aloof all the time to keep up with their “Diva Attitude”. Guys want to have fun too. If you’re fun, men you’re interested in will want to be around you more often

Being his friend doesn’t mean it won’t progress

Being there for him as a friend gives you a great opportunity to build bonds with him and get him to open up to you on a deeper level. For some, attraction takes time and trust. He will respect and care for you as a friend and will see you on a level playing field with him when it comes to thoughts and eventually feelings on a deeper level may come to the surface

Include him in things you can both enjoy

If you share a common interest why not arrange to share an experience together. For instance if you share a particular taste in art, visit a museum together, if it’s a sport, movie, place or concert invite him to go. It’s sure to take the pressure of “being a date” as the experience itself acts as a fail safe vehicle of enjoyment for the both of you. What better way to spend time together than doing something you both enjoy.

Be Patient

Do not be overly persistent in your attempts to court a guy. The more you push for something the more he will resist. Have you ever seen something you were thinking of purchasing until a sales person got involved and started over selling the product and causing you to think twice and lose perceived value as he/she was so desperately trying to sell it to you? The same thing applies here: Perceived value can be created by having self worth and confidence without “over-selling” yourself by pushing for frequent dates and acting exclusive to each other too soon.
