The Basics of How to Flirt with a Guy

There are a couple of roadblocks that may keep you from knowing how to flirt with a guy. These are shyness, nervousness, and just overall confusion as to how to go about it. You should take heart in knowing that there are ways to move past these things and have you flirting like a pro in no time.

The first step in flirting is to understand what the purpose of it is. People flirt so they can test the waters a bit to find out if someone is interested in them. So if you are going to flirt with a guy you like, it will be to see what his reaction to you is. It also works as a filter because while you’re flirting you can find out what you think of this guy’s personality. If he comes across as sleazy with no class, you probably want to back away from him. However, if he’s pretty nice, you may want to know more about him.

Now, suppose you spot a guy you want to flirt with. How do you go about doing this successfully? One method to use is teasing. This means that you try to create the feeling that the two of you are extremely close and have a great connection with each other. Playful teasing is the perfect way to do this. By teasing him like this, you come across to him as a playful woman with a great personality. If he returns the teasing, you can start to see where things may lead.

A really strong way to test how much or if a guy likes you by teasing is by giving him a cute and playful nickname. You may try something like, “You’re just so cute! I think I will call you my snuggle bear!” If he comes back with something equally cute and playful for you, it’s a good bet that he likes you. However, if it seems that you’re just getting on his nerves, move on.

Sexual innuendo is something you can try when you want move to the next level in how to flirt with a guy. Basically, you just use sexual innuendo when you’re interested in dating or having a relationship with a guy. This is a pretty powerful technique so be sure to use it wisely or no guy will take you seriously. To use this technique without appearing slutty, you need to have already established some sort of connection with a guy that lets him know you’re fine with him talking to you sexually. If he’s not getting your hints that you are flirting with him, try asking him what he’s up to on the weekend by using a cute manner.  This should help him pick up that you’re definitely flirting with him AND that you’re interested in knowing him better.

Once he understands just what you are up to, he has the choice of responding positively or letting you know he is not interested. Don’t worry if you strike out occasionally. There will always be many more fish in the sea for you to bait.
